Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you did installing my new roof! The weather was cold but your roofers did a fantastic job getting my roof done, and all cleanup, in one day! Well,going on almost a year now of having permits “submitted”for a new front porch and roof. Zero communication even after multiple attempts. If you didn’t want to the job you could have just said. We wasted months thinking we were just waiting on the permit office. Turns out nothing was ever submitted. I waited a long time to do this review just incase, giving them the benefit of the doubt. I would not recommend this company. Communication is severely lacking and needs work.

We needed to change our roof and after a few talk we decided to go with Modern Renovations. Everything was explained to us every question answered bf we even sign a contract with them. After a couple of weeks we set the day and the roof was done and finished in one day. Everything clean. The people working very respectful and they answered anything we ask while they were working bc you know we are just regular people we dont know nothing about this kind of work, anyway everything was perfect we love the color we chose and the price was just right with nothing but a clear document that shows what exactly expect and what will be done knowing if anything happens in the future we can call and they will fix it. Bc we never know right? Very very happy with the company and we really recommend them if you ever need someone to check your roof and do the job.

I give 0 stars. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. They sold me on a metal roof that they knew was not able to be used on my roof per WV code. Of course I didnt know about that at the time. They told me it would be installed in 2-3 weeks and they would get the paperwork done asap due to active leaking. They submitted paperwork for a permit that included "truss work" when there was no truss work, it was rafter work. Again, I didn't know that because I'm no roofer. Apparently they aren't either, so that held up my permit for over 2 months before it was straighten out. It was only straightened out because my boyfriend said what truss work, there is no trusses on that part of your roof, its flat. I had to call the permit office and explain and they finally said ohhh now I see. They sent an email to these people telling them to word the work they were doing very carefully because truss work needs structural engineering plans and approval wereas rafter work does not. Keep in mind the entire time I have active leaking and they refused to tarp my roof. The week prior to this on Friday, Cheray the office manager told me everything was a go and the install would be the following week. Then the following week the permit office told me my permit was not yet approved because they could only do standing seam on my roof due to half the roof has a pitch of less than 3/12 and per the 2018 building code the roof would have to be at least 3/12 to use corrugated metal. I called them and Cheray left on vacation and didnt even tell me. She lied to get me off the phone and knew the following week she wouldnt be there anyway to hear me. They refused to use the correct metal at the same price they quoted me and wanted thousands more when I have so much water damage because of them and this nightmare got drug out for months due to their incompetence. Not to mention I was already paying 8k more in order to get a 6 year interest free promotion through Wells Fargo. So if I paid them cash or with the other lender they had, it would have been around 11k. Because I decided to go with Wells Fargo to try to save a little on interest they hiked their price up and charged me $19150.00. That was still less money in the end, but considering I was already paying them more and they caused me so much issues and hassel they could have done standing seam which was quoted at 28k. Basically with the extra I was paying they would not have lost any money to make things right with me but they didn't. They are crooks. Go anywhere else but here! They refused to make this right and canceled my contract.

Modern Renovations provided exceptional expertise and customer service regarding the vinyl siding on my home. Jonathan Wilde provided a vinyl inspection and estimate for the warping vinyl on my home that was less than two years old. He discovered that the vinyl had been improperly installed despite the original installers insisting the warping was due to temperature changes and were going to charge me for repairs. If it had not been for Jon’s detailed inspection report the builder and original vinyl installers were not going to rectify the problem. Johnathan, on his own initiative even adjusted the vinyl to prevent moisture damage in the interim until the original installers honored their work. He also reinspected the repairs by the original installers to ensure everything was installed properly. Modern Renovations’ customer service, expertise and quality work make them one of the best companies to work with.

Modern Renovations recently replaced our roof and did an excellent job. The work crew was very diligent even during the warm warm weather. The sales person Jonathan Wilde was exceptional, very professional, and competent.
